Scholarships at School of Business, University of Wisconsin-Madison


Welcome to the scholarships page for the Wisconsin School of Business! The awards listed here are general scholarships for undergraduate business students. The School of Business has many more scholarships to be given at the discretion of individual departments.

You must be admitted to a business major to be eligible for these awards. Please be aware that any scholarship titles, descriptions, eligibility guidelines, and amounts are subject to change as needed.

  • Alvin and Betty Groskopf Family Scholarship         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business. When possible, preference goes to graduates of Washington High School and/or Bay View High School in Milwaukee. Otherwise, other graduates of Milwaukee schools who have financial need will be considered.
  • Anne A. Korbel Scholarship         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business.
  • Automotive Industry of Wisconsin Scholarship        Must be a junior or senior undergraduate in the School of Business. Award is based on financial need, academic merit, potential business capacity, personality, and character.
  • Bernard C. and Ruth Gardner Reese Scholarship        Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business. Awards are based on financial need and academic merit.
  • BP Undergraduate Scholarship         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business.
  • F.A. Oertel Scholarship        Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business. Based on academic merit; preference to students from Sauk County; otherwise, given to any other deserving undergraduate student in the School of Business.
  • Gerald Engel Family Scholarship         Must be a full-time undergraduate in the School of Business and a non-resident of the state of Wisconsin.
  • Hal C. Kuehl Memorial Scholarship Fund         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business.
  • Harold A. Kubly Scholarship         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business; open to seniors in top 10% of class.
  • Harry A. Bullis Scholarship         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business in business, finance, or economics.
  • Irene DeNoyer Scholarship Fund         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business, U.S. citizen, Wisconsin resident, and graduate of a Wisconsin high school. Preference goes to students who were in the top 10% of their high school class and have some financial need.
  • John M. Schroeder Family Scholarship in Business        Must be an outstanding undergraduate in the School of Business. When possible, preference is given to students from Racine, Wisconsin.
  • Ken Townsend Family Scholarship in Business        Must be an full-time undergraduate in the School of Business.
  • Lothar I. Iversen Memorial Scholarship         Must be a male undergraduate in the School of Business who shows financial need.
  • Marotte Family Scholarship in Business        Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business.
  • McGinnis – Latwesen Family Fund        Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business. Underrepresented/minority student with 3.0 GPA or better. African American students preferred but others may apply.
  • Mildred Kramer Scholarship         Must be a full-time undergraduate in the School of Business.
  • Nicholas Scholarship        Must be an admitted or admissible School of Business undergraduate transferring from a UW College; must show financial need.
  • Onni R. Harju Scholarship Fund         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business and should: 1) have graduated from a high school in Wisconsin; and 2) show financial need.
  • Oscar Mayer/Kraft Foods Diversity Fund        Must be an underrepresented/minority undergraduate student in the School of Business.
  • Rath Foundation Merit Undergrad Fund        Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business. Awards are based on academic merit.
  • Raymond Hilsenhoff Scholarship Fund         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business; recipient will be selected on the basis of academic success and financial need.
  • Robert A. Jerred Excellence Award         Must be an undergraduate in the School of Business majoring in Marketing. Recipients are chosen on the basis of academic excellence and community activities.
  • Ronald E. Sowle Scholarship        Must be a full-time undergraduate in the School of Business; priority goes to students from Fox Valley (Green Bay to Fond du Lac area).
  • Schauer Minority Scholarship in Business        Must be an underrepresented/minority undergraduate student in the School of Business.
