According to the Office of Student Financial Aid, in most cases a scholarship will not affect any Stafford loans that a student is already receiving. In general, the university will award scholarships up to the amount of tuition and fees, taking into account all scholarships that the student might be receiving. If you have any specific questions about how a scholarship would impact your own situation, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid.
