Marketing Scholarships

Please read each scholarship description for required qualifications. The application consists of a resume and cover letter. Apply for all scholarships for which you are eligible, based on the qualifications listed. You need not create a new cover letter for each scholarship, simply change the heading. See an example of a resume and a cover letter.

When the scholarship description states “full-time student,” “junior standing,” or other criteria, this applies to the academic year during which the scholarship is active. Deadline for submission is 5 p.m., March 26, 2010, (except for Walker Scholarship applications, which are due on Feb. 4, 2010).

To apply for the scholarships, submit the required documents to Marie David in College of Business Administration 302, or mail them to Marie David, Department of Marketing, The University of Akron, Akron, OH 44325-4804. Please call Ms. David at 330-972-6029 if you have any questions.

According to the Office of Student Financial Aid, in most cases a scholarship will not affect any Stafford loans that a student is already receiving. In general, the University will award scholarships up to the amount of tuition and fees, taking into account all scholarships that the student might be receiving.
